On Tuesday, October 26, 2017 Greenville students worked together with teachers to put on their second Police Appreciation Breakfast. The library was decked out in blue everything, from balloons and banners, to buques and place mats that greeted the officers as they entered. In the library the students presented the officers  with gifts to show how thankful they are for their service. Once more officers showed up, teachers and staff joined in on the conversations, exchanging thank yous to one another. When asked student Brooklyn Fraim Stated that, “We wanted to serve them today because they serve us everyday.” Student Lucas Ballard included that, “It was important that Greenville took time to do this, to show our gratitude.”  As officer Katelynn Desew talked to the students participating, Mrs. Lockner shared that, “Last year was the first one we did [breakfast], but we want to make it an annual event so we can emphasize how thankful we are for their service.”
