Maybe you have noticed the random student that doesn't talk like the rest of us, or maybe you have heard students talking about the German kid running around Greenville High School halls. Greenville has a new foreign exchange student, his name is Johann Muller-Scheebel and he is from Northern Germany, near Hamburg. This is Johann’s first time in America and so far he loves it. Johann explained that he liked many things about America, particularly the “school because he has a lot more fun” and because the education system isn’t as strict in America as it is in Germany. Johann has found that there are a couple of different things in America. For one, we have “a lot more fast food here” than there is in Germany. You would think being 3,892 miles from home would make you homesick but Johann claims that he “never gets homesick” and that he only missed home “around his birthday.”
