A New Opportunity for High School Students to Express Themselves!

As of last month, a new club has been offered to all high school students who enjoy reading and writing or just need a place to be themselves and make new friends. Poetry club serves as a therapeutic and safe place to talk and deal with stress, anger, sadness, and overwhelming emotions - all while reading works of poetry and even writing your own. Although some enjoy writing poetry, this is not a requirement for the club and if you do decide to write your own work, it does not have to be shared with the group or read out loud. This club is meant to become a comfort zone for any high school student; everyone is welcome! This club can benefit those who have a passion for poetry, and for those who are merely searching for a new hobby. The next meeting has yet to be determined, but keep an eye out for posters around the halls with updated poetry club meeting dates!
